A Welcome from our President

 

2023-2024 Membership

Dear Members,

On behalf of the WFBSA Board of Directors, I would like to welcome you to our 36th Annual WFBSA Conference, “Preserving our Passion for Compassionate Care of our Communities, our Clients, Ourselves”. The Board is dedicated in our Mission Statement, providing quality education and support to our members so they may provide the latest practices and policies which respect the diversity and dignity of the families who are served.

We welcome your comments and suggestions that will enable the Association to continue putting on a quality, affordable and educational conference for many years to come. You are encouraged to learn, enjoy and reconnect with your fellow members, to break away from your daily routine, become knowledgeable in staying up with the latest practices and continue to grow as a professional in a trying but rewarding vocation. Registration in the conference serves as your membership in the Association for the upcoming year. I would encourage you to inform your colleagues who may not be aware of the WFBSA of the quality and affordability of our conference.

We offer up to 16 hours of CEH’s for all Human Service Professionals in attendance. The WFBSA certificate of attendance will satisfy the licensing requirements for the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services. Attendance Certificates were provided during check-in, and we have extras for you should you need one.. We have been approved by the WI Association for Marriage and Families for our CEH’s and CEU’s, license #WAMFT0423001.

The belief that strengthening families and preserving the family unit at its very core is what the Association has practiced since its inception in 1988. We need to continue with this philosophy in these difficult times for families all over Wisconsin with a dedicated Board and Membership who are devoted to this cause.

Please support our Sponsors and silent auctions along with the liquor pull! Participation by our members continues to keep our costs low and affordable. Bid high and often and buy those tickets. Take the time to meet new people, have fun and relax in the beautiful surroundings on our conference. This is not only your time to become educated but also time to unwind from the daily stresses and pressures of our chosen professions. We have an excellent lineup of presenters for you to enlighten you and hopefully open up some different ways of thinking. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact a Board member and we will do our best to answer or resolve it. Thank you again for coming and enjoy yourselves to the fullest extent.
